Director of Operations Mikey Knab grew up in the Santa Clarita Valley in Southern California. He has a degree in Cultural Theory from UCSD (an elite institution). He's passionate about social justice and community development. His favorite dish at Ponce's is the Camarones Rancheros and the Flaca Margarita.
A Coronado native and UCSD Graduate. Koka’s name is Hawaiian in origin and roughly translated means “body odor”. Seriously though, Koka is a very serious and extremely talented musician that can literally pick up any instrument and play it well. In his role as General Manager he works tirelessly to ensure the satisfaction of our guests experiences and our staff’s morale is always high.
Nephew to Ponce Sr. and cousin to Ponce Jr., Arturo has been a fixture at Ponce's for over 20 years!! His number one goal is to ensure our guests have the best experience possible. Arturo is happily married with 4 beautiful children!! Favorite dish: Camarones Rancheros with corn tortillas
Originally from Los Angeles, moved to San Diego in 1999 to attend SDSU and never left!! While he works full-time at SDSU, he continues to be a part of the Ponce's family. While not at SDSU or Ponce's you can find him frequenting various businesses along Adams Ave. Favorite Ponce's dish: Machaca con huevo with corn tortillas
Betsy started at Ponce's in 2006. She is a San Diego native, and the unofficial Team Ponce's Mama. She has two beautiful kids, and spends her free time trying to keep up with them. Her favorite Ponce's dish is ground beef tacos.
Hailing from the mean streets of Akron, OH, Michael Shultzman began his California adventure in the year of our Lord 2006. While not pumping iron and melting faces, he can be found supporting the burgeoning San Diego metal scene! Favorite Ponce's dish: Ensalada Suprema with Chicken and NO TOMATOES!
